Desktop, tablet and mobile frames as one page
Give FigWP a frame per breakpoint and get a single Elementor page with per-device settings, instead of three pages to keep in sync.
Elementor keeps one page with desktop, tablet and mobile values for each setting. If your design has a frame per device, FigWP can merge them into exactly that: one page whose elements carry the tablet and mobile values your frames show.
What you need
- A desktop frame, and a tablet frame, a mobile frame, or both, of the same page.
- The same content in each, laid out for its width. Elements are matched across frames by what they are and what they say, so renaming or rewriting between frames breaks the match.
How to ask
Select the frames and ask the app to convert the page with its tablet and mobile versions. The app converts each frame on its own, then merges them:
- Desktop is the base. Every element and setting comes from the desktop frame.
- Matched elements get their differing settings written as tablet and mobile values. Sibling by sibling, an element is matched when it is the same kind of element and there is evidence it is the same thing: the layer name, the words in it, or for wordless boxes the same shape. A lone element of the same kind on each side is paired whatever it is called.
- Mobile values that equal tablet are left out, since Elementor cascades desktop to tablet to mobile.
- Desktop elements missing from a breakpoint are hidden on that device. Elements only a breakpoint has are inserted after their matched neighbour and shown only there.
The merged page is imported once.
What it costs
Each frame is a conversion and reserves a page; merging is free. Importing the merged page charges every source frame that has not been charged yet, so a desktop, tablet and mobile set costs three pages. Importing the same merged page again costs nothing.
Checking the result
Open the draft in Elementor and switch the responsive mode to tablet and mobile. Elementor’s own per-device controls hold the values, so you can adjust them like any other page. If a section did not match the way you expected, ask the app to rebuild that section; see Fix a section after import.
Troubleshooting
A section is hidden on mobile that should show. Its mobile version was not recognised as the same element, usually because its layer name or text differs. Rename or rewrite it to match the desktop version and merge again.
Tablet looks like desktop. The tablet frame had no setting that differed, or the frames were converted without the merge. Ask the app to merge the tablet conversion in.
