Connect your WordPress site with FigWP Connect

Link a site that runs Elementor and Essential Addons Pro to your FigWP account from Essential Addons → Tools → FigWP, so AI apps can import draft pages.

FigWP Connect is the WordPress side of FigWP. It is a module inside Essential Addons Pro, not a separate plugin: the pages your AI app imports are built from Essential Addons widgets, and the connection lives in one box on the Essential Addons Tools page. A connected site appears on your dashboard under Sites, and every page FigWP creates there is a draft.

Connect the site

  1. In WordPress, open Essential Addons → Tools and find the FigWP: Figma to Pages with AI box.
  2. Click Connect to FigWP. Your browser goes to the FigWP dashboard with the site’s name and address.
  3. Check the site shown and click Approve. You are sent back to the Tools page, which now reads Connected and names the FigWP account.

The site and FigWP then share a secret that never passes through your browser or a URL: the site fetches it directly from FigWP once, and every request between the two is signed with it.

What the box shows

  • FigWP account: the account the site is linked to.
  • Pages are created as: the WordPress user who connected the site. Imports run as that user, with that user’s capabilities.
  • Connected on: the date.
  • Open FigWP and Disconnect.
  • Any warning that would block or spoil an import (see below).

Warnings worth fixing first

The box, and your AI app when it checks the site, list two kinds of problems:

  • Blocking: Elementor is not active, or Elementor’s Flexbox Container feature is off. Nothing imports until these are fixed.
  • Spoiling: the connecting user is not allowed to post unfiltered HTML (an Editor, or anyone but a Super Admin on a multisite). WordPress then strips inline SVG and HTML widgets from every page FigWP saves, and breaks custom CSS that uses the > selector. Reconnect the site as an administrator who can.

Disconnect

Click Disconnect in the Tools box, or remove the site from Sites on the dashboard. Either way the shared secret is forgotten on both ends, and pages already imported stay on the site as ordinary Elementor pages.

Troubleshooting

“This connection request expired or was started in another browser.” The approval has a short window and must finish in the browser it started in. Click Connect to FigWP again and approve within a few minutes.

“Could not reach FigWP” or “FigWP refused the connection.” The site could not call FigWP during the final step. Check that the host allows outbound https requests and try again.

The site is approved but your AI app says it is not ready. Ask the app for the site profile, or look at the Tools box: the blocking warnings above are the usual cause.

You cannot see the FigWP box. The box is part of Essential Addons Pro. Make sure Pro is installed and active, and up to date; the free plugin alone does not include FigWP Connect.
