Fix a section after import
Ask your AI app to patch a setting, rebuild one section with different widgets, or put a saved version back. Every change on a FigWP page is snapshotted first.
An imported draft is a starting point. You can open it in Elementor and edit it like any page, and you can also keep working through your AI app: it reads what is on the page, changes one setting or one section, and can undo itself. Fixes on a page you have paid for are free.
Three kinds of fix
Patch a setting. “Make the hero heading 56px”, “centre the stats”, “remove the third card”. The app reads the elements it needs, changes the settings by element id, and the site rebuilds the page’s CSS at once, so the next view is styled. A setting can also be unset, and an element removed.
Rebuild a section. “The testimonial should be a slider.” The app converts that section’s layer again in the open plugin, with new widget choices merged into the frame’s mapping, and swaps it into the page. The new section keeps the old one’s placement (width, alignment, margin, position), since on its own it would be laid out as a whole page. Images are copied again only if they are new.
Replace an element. For a widget the converter does not build, or a form, the app replaces one element with new Elementor content, keeping its place.
A rebuild will not turn a section that holds Essential Addons widgets back into plain containers unless you ask for that. The usual fix for a widget that looks off is its style, not its removal.
Snapshots
Every change through FigWP stores the page’s elements first. The last eight snapshots are kept per page. Ask the app to list them, or to put one back; restoring takes a snapshot of the current state too, so nothing is lost either way.
What it costs
Nothing on a page whose conversion has been imported. A rebuilt section is part of the page’s design, which the page’s conversion already pays for. A section rebuilt on a page that was never imported reserves a page like any conversion and is released when the page is.
Edits made in Elementor
FigWP only touches pages it imported, and it reads the page as it is now, not as it was converted. Changes you make in Elementor by hand are kept, and the app sees them. The one thing to avoid is deleting an element the app is about to patch; it will tell you the id is gone and read the page again.
Troubleshooting
“That page was not created by FigWP.” The app can only edit drafts FigWP imported. Convert and import the page through FigWP, or edit the other page in Elementor.
A rebuilt section lost its width or spacing. The app keeps placement from the old section. If you had changed it in Elementor after import, say which values to keep.
The repair made it worse. Ask the app to restore the previous snapshot. It names them with their time.
